crossin the border, at berwick. then onto seahouses, what was a fishing hot spot, now very much a tourist hot spot. needed longer than a hot june sunday afternoon to get beneath the surface of this place. hunger and too many toursits got the better of me.

so excited about the Herring Queen celebration in Eyemouth, which has been happening since 1939. the parts to the celebration can be seen in the link below.
amongst other things its a local holiday for fish workers. I would love to chat to some Herring Queens.
hoping to make it back here for the celebration in July.

Today 90km from Edinburgh to Eyemouth. Stopped for delicious lunc with Mandy who gave this great insight to where we are just below.

here is the lovely Coral and Bill that I met at lunch today.
Bills father and grandfather were coopers (making the barrels for the fish.) Corals granny was a Herring Worker. it was lovely to get their take on Fraserburgh then and now.
